Approved Service Description

The subject service of this Grant of Approval is the Identity Proofing Service (IPS) and the Identity Broker Service (IBS) from Verizon (UK) Ltd.

The solution provides:

Provisioning of

  1. identity validation & verification & counter-fraud services to Barclays Identity provider services for GOV.UK Verify and ;
  2. translate SAML requests from Government to Barclays.

The Verizon IPS/IBS policy addresses the policies related to the proofing life cycle for customer identity and assertion of an LOA2 proved identity towards the UK Government UK Verify portal.

The provisioning of the identity validation & verification & counter-fraud services are based on the GPG45 requirements for the following elements:
